Nana Patekar's Unwavering Dedication During Filming of 'O'Romeo'
Nana Patekar's Commitment to 'O'Romeo'
Mumbai, Feb 5: Renowned actor Nana Patekar has proven his dedication to his craft by continuing to film despite suffering from a high fever of 102 degrees Fahrenheit. This occurred during the shooting of his upcoming movie ‘O’Romeo’.
Directed by Vishal Bhardwaj, the film features a thrilling action sequence filmed on a train set.
Reflecting on the situation, Bhardwaj shared, “While we were in the midst of filming this intense action scene, I learned that Nana Sir was unwell with a fever. We quickly contacted a doctor, who suggested an injection but advised against shooting.”
However, Patekar insisted, stating, ‘I will not leave. I want to finish this scene. I cannot let the shoot be canceled because of me.’ He continued filming for four hours despite his condition.
“His forehead was so warm that we could feel the heat when we touched it. Between takes, he would rest on the train set, but when it was time to act, he appeared completely unaffected by his illness. This showcases the dedication of a true artist,” Bhardwaj added.
‘O’Romeo’ draws inspiration from real-life events and aims to deliver a captivating cinematic experience filled with action, emotion, and powerful performances.
The film's romantic track, ‘Ishq Ka Fever’, has already been released, featuring the vocals of acclaimed singer Arijit Singh. Composed by Vishal Bhardwaj and penned by Gulzar, the song showcases Shahid Kapoor and Triptii Dimri, starting with a striking line from Farida Jalal before transitioning into a deeply emotional and captivating melody.
Produced by Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment and presented by Sajid Nadiadwala, ‘O’Romeo’ is scheduled for theatrical release on February 13, 2026.
