He spent 35 days in Indore Central Jail before the Supreme Court granted him interim bail in February 2021. More recently, in March 2024, he was detained during a police raid at a Mumbai hookah bar, where authorities claimed he was found consuming hookah. He was released shortly after receiving a notice for bailable offenses.
