Dhoni also attended the wedding festivities of Rishabh Pant's sister in Mussoorie, where he reunited with Pant and other members of the cricket community, including head coach Gautam Gambhir, to celebrate the occasion.

Rishabh Pant recently participated in the Test series against Sri Lanka, contributing significantly with 168 runs, including two fifties, at an average of 56.00. He was among several players who underwent fitness tests at the BCCI Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru in preparation for the upcoming season.

Despite his impressive performance, Pant was not selected for the T20I series against Afghanistan, with Sanju Samson and Ishan Kishan chosen as the wicketkeeping options. His inclusion in the ODI squad for the home series against West Indies remains uncertain, as selectors have favored KL Rahul and Ishan Kishan in recent selections, especially with the 2027 World Cup approaching.

Pant is expected to make his return during a crucial three-match Test series in New Zealand, starting on November 19 at Basin Reserve in Wellington.
