Actress Mrunal Thakur has publicly expressed her solidarity with the student protests organized by the Cockroach Janata Party across various cities, including Delhi and Mumbai. She condemned the police's violent response to the demonstrators during the 'Chalo Sansad' march. Recently, she shared a poignant video of a young man holding a sign in memory of his late brother, who had attempted the NEET exam in May 2026, which was ultimately canceled due to a paper leak. The young man participated in the protest to demand justice for his brother, who tragically took his own life. Mrunal took to her Instagram stories to share her emotional experience after meeting students from Dhule and Nashik, stating that their stories left her speechless.

In her Instagram story, Mrunal recounted her meeting with students from Maharashtra, who posed a troubling question: 'What should we do after the question papers got leaked?' This inquiry left her at a loss for words, prompting her to write, “Kay sangu tyaana? (What do I tell them?)” The actress is deeply concerned about the students' welfare and the current state of the education system.
Celebrity Support for the CJP Protests
Since the commencement of the CJP-led protests in Delhi on July 20, numerous celebrities have rallied in support of the students. The violent lathi charge and subsequent detentions of students in Delhi have sparked widespread outrage. Notable figures such as Shabana Azmi and Prakash Raj have actively participated in the protests in both Delhi and Mumbai. Other celebrities, including Rajkummar Rao, Diljit Dosanjh, Naseeruddin Shah, and Honey Singh, have condemned the police's actions.
