Mrunal Thakur's Cultural Exchange with Adivi Sesh
In a delightful display of cultural exchange, actress Mrunal Thakur recently engaged her co-star Adivi Sesh in a fun Marathi lesson on the set of their upcoming film, Dacoit. The actress, who has strong ties to her Marathi heritage, took to social media to share a video of the two, where she enthusiastically teaches him some basic Marathi phrases.
Mrunal instructs Adivi on expressions like “kay re tu?”, “chomdi”, and “ikde ye,” as he humorously attempts to mimic her pronunciation.
To add to the fun, she challenges him to perform the title song from the beloved Marathi film Ashi Hi Banwa Banwi, a cult classic from 1988.
She also encourages him to recite the iconic line, “Aacharya chi baayko vedi kaay,” originally delivered by the legendary Ashok Saraf.
This playful interaction showcases the camaraderie between the two actors as they work together on their film, Dacoit.
Mrunal, who hails from Dhule in Maharashtra, has often expressed her admiration for Marathi culture and its rich traditions.
The film Ashi Hi Banwa Banwi is celebrated for its humor and stellar performances, featuring renowned actors such as Ashok Saraf, Laxmikant Berde, and Sachin Pilgaonkar.
Even years after its release, it remains a favorite among audiences, solidifying its status as a classic in Marathi cinema.
As for Mrunal and Adivi, their off-screen chemistry is just as vibrant as their on-screen romance, making their collaboration on Dacoit an exciting venture.
