Exciting Character Reveal in Harish Durairaj's Latest Film
Chennai: The production team behind the much-anticipated comedy family film directed by Harish Durairaj has unveiled the character of Yogi Babu, who will portray a character named Jacky.
Power House Pictures, the film's production company, shared the news on their social media, stating, "No shortage of laughter when the OG is on screen! Meet @iYogiBabu as Jacky in the world of #ConCity. A film by @harish_durairaj, hitting theaters soon. Starring @iam_arjundas @benanna_love #Vadivukkarasi #Akhilan. Collaborating with @Maaliandmaanvi @kloutstudios and @SilverTreeOffl. A musical score by @RSeanRoldan."
Previously, the filmmakers announced that Arul Doss will play Gopi, while Radha Ravi will take on the role of Abdul Razzak, and Shahji Chen will portray MLA Senthil.
The cast also includes Ponvannan, Sathanand, Rage Esakki, Madhan Dakshinamoorthy, Imman Annachi, Ramesh Thilak, Thambi Ramaiah, and Bharadwaj Rangan, whose characters have already been revealed.
An earlier teaser has generated significant buzz, showcasing Arjun Das in a tense phone call with a moneylender who threatens him for not answering his calls.
The conversation reveals that Arjun Das has fled with his family after locking up their home. The moneylender ominously warns, "Do you think I can't track you down? If you believe you can swindle me, I will come for your family, and you will witness it all!" Arjun Das defiantly refuses to pay, challenging him to act.
Following this heated exchange, Arjun Das, overwhelmed with anger, starts throwing objects around. When he picks up a small machine resembling a grocery store receipt printer, lightning strikes, causing it to activate.
To his astonishment, every time he presses a button, 500 Rupee notes begin to emerge from the machine, putting him in a position to settle his debts. However, he soon realizes he is not the only one aware of this newfound money-making device.
Written and directed by Harish Durairaj, the film stars Arjun Das and Anna Ben alongside Yogi Babu, Vadivukkarasi, Imman Annachi, and Akhilan in key roles.
On the technical side, the film features music by Sean Roldan, cinematography by Aravind Viswanathan, editing by Arul Moses A, and production design by Raj Kamal. Costume design is handled by Navaa Rambo Rajkumar, with lyrics written by Mohan Rajan. Dance choreography is by Santhosh, while Action Sandhosh choreographs the fight scenes.
