As of now, Maria Kanellis finds herself without a contract in the professional wrestling world after having explored various top promotions. Following a significant surgery and health issues, she parted ways with All Elite Wrestling (AEW) after a less than satisfactory experience. Despite her innovative ideas for her character, she faced rejection.

During a recent virtual signing event with K & S WrestleFest, Maria reflected on her earlier 'ditzy' persona from her WWE days. She expressed a desire to revive that character in AEW, particularly in a storyline involving Adam Copeland.

“That’s one of the things I wanted to play again,” she stated. “I really wish I got to do it one more time. I had a whole way of doing it. That was one thing I wanted to do in AEW. I’d continue trying to call Edge ‘Edge’ and him being like, no, no, no! It’s Adam Copeland.”
