Medha Manjrekar's Cancer Diagnosis
Medha Manjrekar, a well-known Marathi actress and the wife of filmmaker Mahesh Manjrekar, has announced her cancer diagnosis through a heartfelt post on Instagram. The actress, who has maintained a low profile on social media, received an outpouring of support from fellow Marathi artists like Swwapnil Joshi, Neena Kulkarni, Manava Naik, and Nehha Pendse following her announcement. Medha, who has appeared in numerous acclaimed Marathi films and a few Hindi projects, is also the mother of actress Saiee Manjrekar and Gauri Ingawale. In her Instagram update, she shared images from the hospital while discussing her health journey.

In her post, Medha reflected on her treatment journey, stating, “As I approach my birthday and conclude one phase of treatment, I find myself reminiscing—not about the diagnosis, surgery, chemotherapy, or radiation, but about grace.” She expressed gratitude for the support she received during tough times, noting that every time she faced challenges, someone was there to help her. “These were not mere coincidences; they were divine interventions,” she added, acknowledging the roles of her doctors, nurses, family, and friends in her life.
Medha credited her children for their unwavering support throughout her ordeal and expressed her appreciation for Mahesh's presence during this challenging time. She reminisced about the small comforts that helped her through treatment, like her favorite foods that were always provided when she needed them the most.
In response to her heartfelt message, Saiee, her daughter, commented, “strongest galllllll (sic).”

Medha has starred in several critically acclaimed Marathi films, including Kaksparsh, De Dhakka, Natsamrat, Fakta Ladh Mhana, Juna Furniture, Mee Shivajiraje Bhosale Boltoy, Ek Radha Ek Meera, and Dabangg 3. She married Mahesh Manjrekar in 1995, who was previously married to Deepa Mehta, who passed away in 2025. Mahesh has two children from his first marriage, Ashwami and Satya. In 2021, he faced his own battle with high-grade urinary bladder cancer, undergoing significant surgery in Mumbai. Medha has previously shared the emotional toll that their family endured during Mahesh's fight against cancer.
