Renowned cinematographer Manoj Paramahamsa has been named the head of the MGR Film and Television Institute in Chennai, a significant appointment that follows actor Vijay's recent inauguration as Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu. Manoj, known for his work on hit films such as Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa, Nanban, Beast, and Leo, has a professional relationship with Vijay, making this role a notable addition to his impressive career. He is currently looking forward to the release of Gautham Vasudev Menon's film, Dhruva Natchathiram.

This new position is particularly meaningful for Manoj, who is an alumnus of the MGR Film and Television Institute, where he honed his skills in cinematography before entering the film industry.
