Exciting Releases for Manoj Bajpayee

Manoj Bajpayee is experiencing a remarkable phase in his career. His self-titled series, Inspector Zende, is set to premiere on Netflix on September 5, followed by the theatrical release of his film Jagnuma on September 12.

Directed by Raam Reddy, known for the acclaimed Kannada film Thithi, Jagnuma translates to 'fable'.

The narrative is set in the late 1980s and revolves around Dev (played by Bajpayee), who encounters mysteriously charred trees on his expansive fruit orchard estate in the Indian Himalayas. Despite his attempts to control the situation, more fires erupt, prompting him to confront the true nature of himself and his family.

The film features notable actors including Tillotama Shome, Deepak Dobriyal, and Priyanka Bose.

Anurag Kashyap, serving as an executive producer, expressed his admiration for Reddy's work, stating, 'I was captivated by Raam Reddy’s Thithi, which felt authentic and grounded. With Jagnuma, he has crafted a film that resonates with timelessness. It is both deeply humane and magical in its storytelling. Manoj Bajpayee's performance is unlike anything we've witnessed before—subtle, mysterious, and deeply impactful. I am thrilled to present this film to Indian audiences.'

Manoj is thrilled about the release of two such contrasting projects within a short span. He remarked, 'September seems to be my month in terms of visual storytelling. The experiences of Inspector Zende and Jagnuma are worlds apart, and I take immense pride in both.'
