Leonardo DiCaprio Remembers Diane Keaton: A Heartfelt Tribute to a Hollywood Legend
A Fond Farewell to Diane Keaton
Los Angeles: Oscar-winning actor Leonardo DiCaprio is reminiscing about his cherished moments with the late actress Diane Keaton.
At 50 years old, DiCaprio, who starred alongside Keaton in the 1996 film Marvin's Room, honored the late Academy Award winner following her passing on Saturday, as reported by a media outlet.
He shared a nostalgic photo of himself with Keaton, likely taken during the filming nearly thirty years ago, on his Instagram Stories. DiCaprio expressed, "Diane Keaton was truly unique. She was brilliant, humorous, and unapologetically herself. A legend, an icon, and a genuinely kind person. I had the privilege of working with her at the age of 18. Her absence will be profoundly felt."

According to reports, Keaton portrayed Bessie, the aunt of DiCaprio's troubled character Hank, in the drama directed by Jerry Zaks, which also featured stars like Meryl Streep and Robert De Niro.
Even years later, Keaton remembered DiCaprio fondly, complimenting his "beauty" on Instagram in November 2021, albeit with a humorous mix-up. She shared a video slideshow of male celebrities with the caption, "Male beauty," and mistakenly identified a young man in a black-and-white photo as DiCaprio.
"Talk about beauty, Leonardo DiCaprio," she narrated, thinking it was him. "Give me a break. I knew him when he was a kid."
However, Reese Witherspoon playfully corrected her in the comments, stating, "Diane, the first one is my son." The image Keaton shared was actually of Deacon Phillippe, Witherspoon's son with ex-husband Ryan Phillippe. Keaton responded with a surprised emoji, while Witherspoon simply replied with a laughing emoji.
