Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2 Loses Top Spot in TRP Ratings
Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2's TRP Decline
The popular show Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2, featuring Smriti Irani and Amar Upadhyay, has dominated the TRP charts for an extended period. However, recent ratings have taken many by surprise. The series, which held the number one position for quite some time, has now fallen to second place, overtaken by Zee TV’s Vasudha. Additionally, Rupali Ganguly’s Anupamaa has also experienced a significant drop, now sitting at fifth place.
Fans React to Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2's Changes
The recent introduction of characters Rio and Niyati in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2 has ignited discussions online. Some viewers have criticized the casting of Akashdeep Saigal as Rio, noting he is older than his on-screen grandmother, Smriti Irani. Despite the dramatic twists, the show’s ratings have plummeted, achieving only 1.7 in week 17.
On the other hand, Vasudha, featuring Priya Thakur, Abhishek Sharma, and Parineeta Borthakur, has captivated audiences with its storyline, resulting in a rise in viewership and a top rating of 1.8.
Challenges Facing Anupamaa
Rupali Ganguly’s Anupamaa is currently struggling to maintain viewer interest. The repetitive 'Nayi Shuruat' storyline has left many fans dissatisfied. The character Anupama continues to face similar challenges, leading to a decline in popularity on social media. It seems the creators may need to introduce a fresh twist to regain their audience.
Currently, Anupamaa has dropped to fifth place with a rating of 1.5. The ongoing storyline involving Prem's challenges to Anupama is anticipated to add more excitement to the show.
