Actors Vijay Varma and Kritika Kamra are gearing up for their upcoming series, *Matka King*. In a recent interview, Kritika shared insights about her experience auditioning for her Parsi character, revealing that she had to go through the audition process twice. Her candid remarks about the series provide a deeper understanding of her role.

**Initial Doubts During Audition**
Kritika Kamra discussed her audition experience with a media outlet, stating, "There are certain filmmakers I eagerly await, like Nagraj Manjule. I had to audition for this role twice."

She continued, "He wasn't convinced during my first audition, and I completely understand that. If I were to portray a Parsi character, I might not have been satisfied with my initial performance either. Everyone aims to cast the best actor for a role, so I refined my approach and auditioned again."

**Selective Approach to Projects**
Kritika acknowledged that her method might make her seem selective. She explained, "It can be challenging because I prefer to work with directors who have a meticulous casting process."

"As a result, I often miss out on more commercial projects. However, I am content as I get to collaborate with filmmakers whose work I truly admire."

The actress also shared her thoughts on the world of *Matka*. She mentioned, "This universe is captivating. Before I was offered this role, I had limited knowledge about *Matka*. I did my research, and since I didn't grow up in Bombay, I found it quite fascinating."

Kritika concluded, "I typically assess projects based on whether I would find them engaging as an audience member. If I feel strongly about a project, I believe others will too." The series *Matka King* is scheduled to premiere on Amazon Prime Video on April 17, with Vijay Varma in the lead role.
