Who is Khan Saab?

Khan Saab draws inspiration from the legendary Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, whom he regards as his mentor. At just 31 years old, he is making waves on global music charts with his rendition of Dil Pe Zakhm Khate Hain. Born in Bhandal Dona village, Kapurthala, Punjab, and raised in Jalandhar, Khan Saab began his musical training at the tender age of five. His birth name is Imran Khan. Faced with financial challenges, he had to leave college and take on various jobs to support his family.

Khan Saab's Breakthrough

Imran, known for his Sufi-inspired singing, steadily made his mark in the Punjabi music scene by collaborating with independent artists and labels. His major breakthrough came with Zindagi Tere Naal in 2018, which garnered over 200 million views on YouTube, propelling him to stardom. Punjabi singer Gary Sandhu encouraged him to adopt the stage name Khan Saab. Tragically, Imran lost both of his parents in 2025, with his mother, Salma Parveen, passing away on September 25, followed by his father, Iqbal Mohammad, on October 13.

A video shared on Instagram captured him jamming with Ranveer Singh, the lead actor of Dhurandhar 2, as they sang Aari Aari.
