Court Issues Stay on Film Release
Kochi: On Thursday, the Kerala High Court issued a temporary injunction against the release of the film The Kerala Story 2-Goes Beyond. The court found that the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) may not have thoroughly considered the film's content before granting it a certification.
Justice Bechu Kurian Thomas delivered the ruling in response to two petitions that contested the film's release.
Originally, the film was set to premiere on February 27.
The court's decision highlighted concerns that the CBFC did not follow established guidelines aimed at preventing films from causing social discord.
