Chennai, April 29: The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has officially approved the action film 'KD: The Devil', directed by Prem, for release with an 'A' rating. The film stars Kannada actor Dhruva Sarja in the lead role.
KVN Productions, the film's production company, confirmed the news on their social media account, stating, "‘A’ CERTIFIED. Raw. Ruthless. Real #KDTheDevil 1 DAY TO GO."
Recently, the filmmakers expressed their apologies for including uncertified material in the film's trailer.
In a statement on social media, KVN Productions clarified, "The trailer of KD: The Devil, which was released on YouTube, mistakenly featured some uncertified content during the certification process."
The production house, known for producing Vijay's last film 'Jana Nayagan', mentioned that they have removed the trailer and will upload a corrected version soon to comply with certification standards.
They expressed regret for the oversight, stating, "We sincerely apologize for this mistake and are committed to following all certification regulations."
'KD: The Devil' is a grand production that has already created considerable excitement nationwide. The film features Dhruva Sarja in the title role alongside a talented cast that includes Shilpa Shetty, V. Ravichandran, Ramesh Aravind, Reeshma Nanaiah, and Nora Fatehi.
Notably, Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt plays a significant role in this eagerly awaited film.
The cinematography is handled by William David, with art direction by Mohan B Kere and editing by Sanketh Achar.
