Siddique, the popular Malayalam director, passed away yesterday at the age of 63. He also directed Bodyguard starring Salman Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan. According to reports, he was admitted to Amrita Hospital in Kochi on August 7 after suffering a heart attack. He was in critical condition and was placed on medical support with an extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) machine. The director committed suicide the next day. People from the Indian film industry have been mourning his death through their heartfelt tributes on social media. Now Kareena has also expressed grief over Siddique's demise.

 Kareena Kapoor Khan took to her Instagram stories and mourned the loss of filmmaker Siddique who directed her in the film Bodyguard. Kareena shared a happy monochrome picture of the director and captioned it, “Always remember you like this...with a smile. (red heart emoji) You will be missed Siddique Sir.”

Filmography of Siddique
With Siddique and Lal, Malayalam film was made for one of the most famous directorial duos. He made his debut in 1989 by directing Ramji Rao Speaking. The classic comedy was also remade in Hindi as Hera Pheri starring Akshay Kumar, Sunil Shetty and Paresh Rawal. Several of his other projects have been made into Hindi remakes and his Hindi directorial debut Bodyguard was also adapted from his Malayalam film of the same name. It was also remade in the Tamil film Kavalan. The last film he directed was Big Brother in 2020. The film featured Mohanlal, Arbaaz Khan, Anoop Menon and others.
