Karan Johar Clarifies His Instagram Activity

Mumbai: Renowned filmmaker Karan Johar has addressed the buzz surrounding his recent decision to unfollow numerous individuals on Instagram, labeling it a "digital detox" and requesting that it not be sensationalized as major news.

Recently, Johar unfollowed many close friends and colleagues, including prominent figures like Shah Rukh Khan, Alia Bhatt, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Ananya Panday, Malaika Arora, Varun Dhawan, Sidharth Malhotra, and designer Manish Malhotra.

This action led to a flurry of speculation among fans, particularly noting that he continues to follow actress Priyanka Chopra.

In a statement shared on his Instagram Story on Thursday night, Johar remarked, "It’s a DIGITAL DETOX!!!! I’m unfollowing everyone to minimize my time and energy on the gram!!! This shouldn’t be national news for heaven’s sake… please find something else to clickbait! This is trivial."
