Tensions Rise Between Kapil Sharma and Anurag Kashyap

Kapil Sharma and Anurag Kashyap Clash Over Ad Concept: What’s the Drama?

Mumbai: Comedian Kapil Sharma is currently at odds with filmmaker Anurag Kashyap regarding the storyline and concept of his latest project.

Kapil, a dominant figure in the television realm, expressed his dissatisfaction with Kashyap's approach to featuring him in a new advertisement for a soft drink brand.

On Tuesday, Kapil took to Instagram to unveil the brand's promotional film, where Anurag approaches him with a script. Known for his authentic narratives, Anurag begins to describe a scene set on a public bus. Kapil questions the choice of the bus when Anurag mentions that the script involves popping up on the phone screens of individuals who scan the QR code on the drink's bottle.

The two creatives are at odds over the advertisement's concept, with Anurag suggesting that he might need to find a different face for the campaign. Kapil quickly counters, reminding Kashyap that he is the brand's ambassador, implying that it is Kashyap who might be at risk of being replaced.

In a dramatic turn, Anurag tosses the script into a jacuzzi, announcing his departure from the advertising scene. As he exits, Kapil humorously inquires whether he needs a ride home, poking fun at the director's financial constraints in his indie films.

On the professional front, Kapil is set to appear in the forthcoming film Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2. Recently, he shared a new poster showcasing himself and his on-screen bride at the wedding altar, with their hands joined in prayer. While the actress's face is hidden by a veil, Kapil appears to be looking up, seemingly praying for divine intervention in a challenging situation.

The poster captures Kapil's tense expression, contrasting with the actress's serene demeanor.
