Kangana Ranaut Weighs In on Ranveer Singh and Farhan Akhtar's Don 3 Dispute
Kangana Ranaut's Insight on Stardom and Rivalries
Kangana Ranaut recently shared her views on the necessity of facing adversaries to achieve stardom. This statement came in light of the ongoing conflict between Ranveer Singh and Farhan Akhtar concerning the Don 3 project. During the trailer launch of her new film, Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata, Kangana was asked about her thoughts on this significant Bollywood dispute.
The disagreement between Ranveer and Farhan revolves around Excel Entertainment's ambitious film, Don 3, after Ranveer's unexpected exit just days before filming was scheduled to begin. This situation has sparked discussions within the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) and the Cine and TV Artistes Association (CINTAA).
On June 2, during a press event for her film, Kangana was questioned about the Ranveer and Farhan situation. She stated, "One cannot become a star without making enemies. Ranveer Singh should consider the level of stardom he has achieved, which naturally comes with its share of adversaries. As one progresses, challenges are inevitable. A smooth path is not always assured."
Kangana also reflected on her own journey, adding with a chuckle, "I've faced numerous challenges myself. Today, I am thriving, so there’s no need for worry. Everything will eventually work out."
Regarding the Don 3 situation, reports indicated that Ranveer Singh had pulled out just before production was set to commence. Directed and produced by Farhan Akhtar, the film was in the final stages of pre-production when news of Ranveer's departure broke. Following this, the FWICE issued a non-cooperation notice against him on May 25, 2026. This action reportedly stemmed from a complaint by Akhtar, who claimed that the sudden exit resulted in losses of approximately Rs 45 crore for the project. However, FWICE president BN Tiwari later clarified that the federation is not seeking a permanent ban on Ranveer, but rather aims to hear his side and find a fair resolution.
On the professional front, Ranveer was last seen in Dhurandhar 2, directed by Aditya Dhar, where he reprised his role as Hamza Ali Mazari, also known as Jaskirat Singh Rangi, in this spy thriller. The film, supported by Jio Studios and Aditya Dhar Films, premiered in theaters on March 19 and achieved blockbuster status.
