Kangana Ranaut's Insights on Nutrition
Kangana Ranaut, the actress and BJP MP, is known for her outspoken nature. Recently, she shared her views on nutrition and dietary habits in India. By posting a chart that illustrated global cancer rates for individuals under 50, she asserted that India boasts one of the healthiest diets worldwide. Kangana urged her followers to resist the allure of international food trends and to steer clear of ultra-processed foods.
Kangana's Perspective on Protein Consumption
In her social media post, Kangana emphasized that Indians possess a superior diet and should not feel compelled to adopt Western eating habits. The chart she shared indicated that India has lower cancer rates compared to other nations, which she attributed to traditional dietary practices. She encouraged her audience with the message, "Dear Indians, we have the best diet; we don't need to be influenced by anyone regarding our food. Focus on whole foods and limit your intake of ultra-processed items like protein shakes or junk food." Additionally, she warned that excessive protein consumption could be detrimental, stating, "Yes, too much protein makes you dumb; eat clean, eat light, and remember that movement is medicine."
Although Kangana did not reference any scientific studies to back her claims, she stressed the importance of consuming minimally processed foods and leading an active lifestyle. Notably, she owns a café named The Mountain Story in Prini, Manali, Himachal Pradesh, which opened on February 14, 2025.
Kangana Ranaut's Support for Student Protests
In addition to her views on nutrition, Kangana recently commended Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his response to the student protests and the NEET-UG paper leak issue. On July 23, the Prime Minister announced the creation of fast-track courts to ensure prompt action against those involved in the NEET-UG paper leak incidents, emphasizing the government's commitment to safeguarding the future of India's youth.
Kangana expressed her approval of the Prime Minister's decision during an interview, stating, "The Prime Minister has made a historic announcement, which is being appreciated across the country. It reflects his commitment to students and the empathy he has always shown towards them."
She further highlighted that examination malpractices and paper leaks have plagued students for generations. "We have all witnessed such issues around us, but no previous government has taken such decisive action to tackle them," she remarked. Praising the government's initiative, she added, "This decisive action has been taken by our Prime Minister, demonstrating his deep commitment to children and students." Kangana, who represents Mandi, Himachal Pradesh, continues to be vocal on various political and social matters, with nutrition being a significant focus.
