Filmmaker Yugi Sethu disclosed that Haasan earned an impressive sum of Rs 150 crore for just ten days of shooting. Portraying the character of Supreme Yaskin, a god-king in a post-apocalyptic setting, this revelation follows Haasan being recognized as the highest-paid actor after the film's release. The movie has achieved remarkable success, grossing between Rs 1,042 and 1,100 crore globally, and has set numerous box office records, making it the second highest-grossing Indian film of 2024 and the fourth highest-grossing Telugu film ever.

According to Yugi Sethu, Kamal Haasan's earnings translate to nearly 2 million US dollars per day, solidifying his status as India's highest-paid actor at that time. In contrast, Allu Arjun is projected to lead the list of top-paid Indian actors by 2026, reportedly charging between Rs 200 crore and Rs 300 crore per film. Notably, for his role in Pushpa 2, Arjun opted for a profit-sharing arrangement, taking 27 percent of the film's profits, which exceeded Rs 1000 crore worldwide.


Sequel Plans for Kalki 2898 AD


Prabhas hinted at the film being a two-part series during a live chat prior to its release, expressing that the Kalki franchise might become his favorite after Baahubali. Director Nag Ashwin confirmed during promotional events in 2024 that the sequel is expected to be released in three years.
