Actress Kalyani Priyadarshan, known for her role in Lokah, has shown a different side of herself off-screen, often sharing her feelings candidly. Recently, she expressed her emotions regarding her mother, Lissy Priyadarshan, returning to acting and reuniting with director Priyadarshan. This project marks Lissy's first collaboration with Priyadarshan since their iconic film Chithram in 1988, bringing back fond memories of their successful partnership in the 1980s.

The behind-the-scenes images from the advertisement feature Lissy alongside her daughter, Kalyani, marking their first joint appearance in a project directed by Priyadarshan. Veteran actor Prabhu Ganesan is also part of the campaign. Kalyani took to social media to share her excitement, stating, "Here's a day that's got its own room in my memory palace," reflecting on her parents' reunion.

On Instagram, Lissy announced the project with a series of photos from the shoot, expressing her joy about working with Priyettan after 38 years. She reminisced about their last film together, the classic 'Chithram', and shared that she would portray the reel mother to her real daughter, Kalyani, in this advertisement.

Lissy shared how comfortable she felt returning to the camera, attributing this ease to Priyadarshan's familiarity with her. She recalled a humorous moment during the shoot, mentioning that she wasn't nervous because Priyadarshan knew her well, even her best angles. The director humorously added, "I know her best and worst behaviours too!" Lissy reflected on the nostalgia of the set, stating, "I tried my best to hold back my tears of joy. The whole shoot felt like a picnic."

She expressed gratitude to the brand for bringing her, Priyadarshan, and Kalyani together for this project, noting that life had come full circle. Lissy thanked her fans for their unwavering support and love. She is celebrated for her roles in films like Chithram, Thalavattam, Odaruthammava Aalariyam, Mutharamkunnu P.O., and Boeing Boeing, which are considered some of her most memorable works. Currently, Kalyani Priyadarshan is involved in projects like Marshal and Lokah: Chapter 2, and is eagerly anticipating the release of Genie, a big-budget film directed by Ravi Mohan, which is yet to be released.
