K Bhagyaraj was laid to rest at the Besant Nagar crematorium in Chennai, receiving full state honors. Over a remarkable career spanning more than fifty years, K Bhagyaraj directed numerous acclaimed films, including Andha 7 Naatkal, Mundhanai Mudichu, Chinna Veedu, and Enga Chinna Rasa. He also made significant contributions to Hindi cinema, directing Amitabh Bachchan in Aakhree Raasta (1986). Bhagyaraj is survived by his wife, former actress Poornima Bhagyaraj, and their children, actor Shanthanu Bhagyaraj and Saranya.
