Jungkook Issues Apology Following Controversial Weverse Live Stream
Jungkook's Unexpected Live Stream
Jungkook, a member of BTS, has expressed regret over his recent Weverse live session, which took place while he was under the influence of alcohol. During this candid broadcast, he made several remarks that quickly gained attention online, including some light-hearted swearing and an inappropriate gesture towards a friend, as well as sharing details about his past smoking habits. Many fans were concerned that his comments could lead to potential repercussions for the Golden Maknae. While enjoying drinks with two friends, Jungkook opened up in a way that surprised many. The 28-year-old has not shown any bitterness regarding his statements, maintaining that he feels he did nothing wrong.

Jungkook addresses the backlash
On April 8, BTS unveiled the music video for Hooligan. Concurrently, Jungkook took to Weverse to engage with fans, where he also confronted the recent backlash. He apologized for his February live stream, which faced criticism due to his apparent intoxication and the use of profanity, alongside candid comments about the band's label, HYBE, and the pressures of being an idol. The 88-minute 'unfiltered' live session was later taken down from the platform, a move Jungkook seemed to anticipate during the stream, indicating it was likely his choice to prevent further misinterpretation by the media.

His perspective on the situation
"I wanted to apologise to ARMY about the recent live," Jungkook stated, although he expressed uncertainty about what he did wrong. "I’m not sure if I did something seriously wrong, but since I hadn’t shown that side of myself before, I thought it might have made some fans uncomfortable," he continued. A different fan commented, "Free Jungkook from these crazies who live in a bubble where he hasn’t aged since 15; a grown man apologising for swearing because some ARMY were offended—please get a grip, he can say and do what he wants; it’s his life." Jungkook is preparing for an extensive world tour starting in Goyang on April 9, alongside his BTS bandmates RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, and V.
