Julie Takes Action Against Online Harassment

Maria Juliana, known for her participation in Bigg Boss Tamil and Bigg Boss Ultimate, has lodged a complaint with the Chennai police following severe trolling linked to kidney scam accusations. The former nurse revealed that she had previously filed another complaint in March against eight individuals, whom she alleges are supporters of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay. During a press conference, Julie claimed that the online harassment led to her suffering a miscarriage.

Julie Alleges Miscarriage Due to Online Abuse

Julie stated that she received a notice indicating her complaint would be treated as civil defamation rather than a criminal matter. She expressed concern over the timing of this notice and mentioned a Rs 15 lakh kidney scam that has been associated with her. At the press conference, she asserted that her allegations were being overlooked because the accused are fans of Vijay. In a startling statement, she claimed, "Vijay anna is responsible for me losing my child. He might not have done it directly." Julie explained that if Vijay had urged his supporters to cease their harassment, she might have avoided her miscarriage, which occurred shortly after her marriage in January. She attributed her loss to the intense mental distress caused by the online abuse.

The Bigg Boss contestant also mentioned that derogatory comments were being directed at both her and her husband, Mohamed Ikreem. When questioned about her complaints being filed during the tenure of the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) party, which was in power before Vijay's recent election as chief minister, Julie responded, "I am speaking because this happened to me now.”

Ambika Challenges Julie's Claims

Veteran actress Ambika took to social media to express her condolences for Julie's loss but also challenged her accusations. She criticized Julie's approach, questioning how CM Vijay could be implicated in her miscarriage. Ambika described Julie's statements as unethical and noted that her language was disrespectful towards the chief minister. Meanwhile, Vijay's supporters have expressed confusion over why Julie is blaming the actor-turned-politician. Aside from her reality TV appearances, Julie has hosted the dance show Odi Vilayadu Paapa and featured in the Tamil film Naan Sirithal (2020).
