Jr NTR's Exciting Birthday Surprise


On May 20, Tollywood icon Jr NTR delighted his fans by revealing the first look of his upcoming film, titled 'Dragon', directed by Prashanth Neel. The four-minute teaser captivated viewers, showcasing Jr NTR in a unique and unprecedented role. Set against the backdrop of the 1960s, this pan-India film will explore emotionally charged events across a historical timeline. Neel expressed his enthusiasm for this project, aiming to create the most significant patriotic film of 2026. Notably, he confirmed that CGI was not utilized to enhance Jr NTR's physique.


Prashanth Neel's Ambitious Project


Scheduled for release in June 2027, 'Dragon' is one of Neel's most ambitious endeavors. In a conversation with a media outlet, he stated, “This is likely our most significant effort in crafting a patriotic film.” Jr NTR portrays Luger, the Assassin-in-Chief of the Afghan Trading Company, who finds himself at the heart of a power struggle between the ATC and the Golden Trading Company depicted in the film. Following the teaser's release, many fans speculated about Jr NTR's physique, questioning whether CGI was employed to achieve his lean appearance.



However, Neel dismissed these rumors, clarifying that no scenes have been reshot thus far. He emphasized that Jr NTR aimed to achieve an authentic fitness level for the role without relying on CGI, dedicating time to transform his physique.


Update on Salaar Sequel


Following the success of 'KGF 2', Neel directed 'Salaar' featuring Prabhas, which received a warm reception from audiences. He announced plans to commence production on the sequel after completing the filming of 'Dragon'. The latter is set to premiere on June 11, 2027, in multiple languages including Kannada, Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam, and Tamil. The film also features Anil Kapoor, Rukmini Vasanth, Ashutosh Rana, Sidhant Gupta, Anshuman Pushkar, and others in pivotal roles. Neel's previous collaborations with Yash in 'KGF: Chapter 1' and 'KGF: Chapter 2' were massive box office successes, and he is also working on 'KGF: Chapter 3', with details yet to be revealed.
