He emphasized his dedication to the group, even if it means sidelining his acting ambitions. "I’ve always believed that if it’s not with the group, there’s no point in continuing. A solo career doesn’t hold much significance for me. If I were to pursue anything, it would be something innovative within the group to keep our fans engaged. Acting doesn’t interest me at this moment," Jin shared. The 33-year-old expressed, "My ultimate dream has always been to tour with BTS and connect with fans worldwide."

Although Jin's name was absent from the songwriting credits for the ARIRANG album, the documentary BTS: The Return on a streaming platform revealed that he was busy with his solo tour, as RM noted, "holding the fort" for BTS while the others completed their military service.

During the same interview, Jin explained that scheduling conflicts led to his absence from the songwriting process. He mentioned, "I was still on my solo tour at that time. When I got to the studio, there were already over a hundred songs created. I then recorded the best ones, which took about a week to ten days. Once that was completed, the process was done." He added, "I was concerned that our fans might feel neglected while everyone was serving in the military, so I aimed to comfort them. Although I’m a bit disappointed, I believe there will always be future opportunities. This was the best decision I could make at that moment."
