Jennifer Lopez Opens Up About Breakup with Ben Affleck

Los Angeles: Jennifer Lopez, the renowned actress and singer, has shared her emotional journey following her split from Ben Affleck. In her latest song, she expresses the pain she experienced during what she describes as a 'very difficult time'.

The 55-year-old star ended her marriage with the Hollywood actor in April 2024, just shy of two years together. This breakup occurred shortly after she decided to cancel her 'This Is Me ... Now' tour to prioritize family time, according to reports from a UK media outlet.

Now, Lopez is gearing up for a new tour and has been busy creating fresh music, which she recently showcased at a fan listening event in Los Angeles. An attendee revealed that one of her new tracks, titled 'Wreckage of You', delves into her recent struggles. The song, described as a pop ballad, was co-written and recorded just two weeks prior to the event. Lopez shared that the inspiration struck her while she was resting after a long day of rehearsals.

The attendee noted, 'She reflected on how challenging the past year was for her, both personally and professionally. After canceling her tour, she focused on self-care. Now, a year later, she feels rejuvenated and stronger, wanting to convey her journey through her music.'

Lopez expressed a sense of freedom and excitement about her upcoming summer tour, eager to perform new songs that resonate with her current feelings.

Another guest at the listening party described 'Wreckage of You' as an emotional and empowering anthem about moving on from a relationship and emerging stronger.

According to reports, Jennifer will kick off her Up All Night tour in Pontevedra, Spain, on July 8, with performances scheduled across Europe before heading to various countries including the UAE, Egypt, Armenia, Turkey, Uzbekistan, and Kazakhstan.

Later in the year, she will return to the United States to begin her Up All Night residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, starting December 30.
