Janaki Bodhiwala's Intense Experience in 'Shaitaan'

In the hit horror-thriller film ‘Shaitaan’ (2024), actress Janaki Bodhiwala has captivated audiences with her powerful performance. Portraying Jahnvi in the Gujarati film remake, she described the role as both physically demanding and intense. In a recent interview, Janaki shared that the character took a significant toll on her body.

Janaki expressed, “The role completely drained me. I would sustain injuries during shooting every day. My mother would often worry when she saw me return home, asking what I was doing. Even during breaks, the fatigue lingered, making recovery a lengthy process. However, as an actress, I embraced every challenge and did justice to the role.”

Her character in 'Shaitaan' involved a lot of physicality, combining action, emotional scenes, and horror elements. She had previously played the same role in the original Gujarati film 'Vash,' for which she received a National Award. Working alongside stars like Ajay Devgn, R. Madhavan, and Jyothika in the Hindi version, she demonstrated her capability to shine in Bollywood.

Janaki further remarked that Gen Z represents the ideal generation, driven by hard work and dedication. Their efforts were evident in 'Shaitaan,' where her performance significantly enhanced the film's impact.
