India's Premier Inclusive Film Festival Returns
The most inclusive and far-reaching film festival in India is back! The Jagruk Film Festival (JFF) 2025, recognized as the world's largest traveling film festival, has officially opened its doors for entries.
In previous years, the festival received over 5,000 entries from 72 countries. This has established the Jagruk Film Festival (JFF) as a global platform for showcasing cinematic talent. Each year, around 500 films are selected through a rigorous process and showcased during a 75-day screening event.
This Year, JFF Will Be Held Across 14 Cities in 8 Indian States
The 2025 edition of the festival will kick off with a grand opening ceremony in Delhi on September 4. Following this, the festival will travel to cities including Kanpur, Lucknow, Varanasi, Prayagraj, Hisar, Ludhiana, Ranchi, Patna, Meerut, Agra, Gorakhpur, and Dehradun. The closing ceremony will take place in Mumbai from November 13 to 16 in a spectacular event.
This festival welcomes feature films, short films, documentaries, and student films from India and around the world. All entries are evaluated by esteemed industry experts, and winners are honored at a grand award ceremony held in Mumbai.
Basant Rathore, Senior Vice President of Strategy and Brand Development at Daily Jagruk, stated, "At the Jagruk Film Festival, we believe that exceptional cinema should not be confined by geographical boundaries. Every impactful story deserves to be seen, heard, and felt across the cities, towns, and cultures of the country. This year, as we travel to 14 cities, our aim remains the same: to bring meaningful cinema closer to the people and to create a platform for filmmakers to present their art to diverse and aware audiences."
Thanks to its unique traveling format and efforts to reach all types of audiences, the Jagruk Film Festival has become a historic celebration that connects filmmakers and cinema lovers through storytelling.
