Daniel Radcliffe's rep confirmed on Saturday 25 March 2023 that he is expecting his first child with longtime girlfriend Erin Darke. Daniel Radcliffe and Erin Drake met on the set of Kill Your Darlings in 2013. The actors were first photographed together at the 2013 Sundance Film Festival as they were seen promoting the film. Around this time they sparked dating rumors as the two were often seen flirting and being affectionate with each other.

Before reps confirmed that Erin Darke - Daniel Radcliffe's longtime girlfriend - was pregnant, the former was spotted rocking her baby bump while she was out on the town.

A day earlier, Daniel Radcliffe and Erin Darke stepped out in New York City in comfortable clothes as the latter showed off her baby bump. Erin was seen sporting a black zip up hoodie that clung to her stomach with a matching pair of leggings. She paired it with a black and white checked coat with orange boots adding a pop of colour. Meanwhile, Radcliffe was spotted in a navy puffer jacket and a bright yellow and blue winter hat. In an interview with Newsweek last year, Radcliffe said, 'I want my children - if and when they exist - I'd love them to be around the film set'.

Radcliffe and Darke's romance began in 2013 while filming Kill Your Darlings. The Harry Potter actor later said in an interview that the movie was a wonderful record of their early romance. The actor said, 'There is a moment when he makes me laugh, and I laugh not as my character but as me'. Later in 2020, Daniel also said that Erin has embraced her geeky side which includes loving the New York Giants and LEGO.
