Mumbai Police Investigate Shefali Jariwala's Death

Following the shocking and untimely death of actress Shefali Jariwala, Mumbai police have commenced an investigation. Reports indicate that the star, known for her hit song 'Kaanta Laga', passed away due to cardiac arrest. The authorities have taken her remains for a postmortem examination to determine the exact cause of death.


According to various media sources, Shefali was transported to the hospital by her husband, Parag Tyagi, along with three others. Staff at Bellevue Hospital in Mumbai reported that she was already deceased upon arrival.


However, police have stated that she was discovered at her residence in Andheri, and the circumstances surrounding her death remain uncertain.


“Mumbai Police received information about this incident at 1 am. Her body has been sent to Cooper Hospital for a postmortem. The cause of death is still unclear,” police officials stated.


A police and forensics team visited her home today. The news of her passing was initially shared on social media by Vicky Lalwani, who wrote, “Shefali Jariwala, the Kaanta Laga Girl, is no more.” Shefali gained fame at the age of 20 in 2002 with the song and continued to work in various music albums and films. She had previously disclosed her battle with epilepsy in interviews.


Shefali and Parag Tyagi participated in several reality TV shows, including Nach Baliye 5 and 7, and she was also a contestant on Bigg Boss season 13.


Prior to her marriage to Parag, Shefali was wed to Harmeet Singh in 2004, but they divorced in 2009.
