Inside the Lavish Set of Lock Upp: Sach Ya Sazaa
Exploring the New Setup of Lock Upp
The anticipation for Lock Upp: Sach Ya Sazaa is building as fans eagerly await more details. Recently, we revealed the confirmed contestants who will be part of the show hosted by Riteish Deshmukh and Farah Khan. Now, we take a closer look at the extravagant new set designed for this Netflix series. Contestants like Ram Kapoor, Shivangi Joshi, and Pamela Serena are set to enter this opulent environment soon. Ahead of the premiere, renowned production designer Omung Kumar shared insights about the lavish design, created at a secret location, and his vision for the interiors.
Lock Upp: A Unique Experience
Omung provided a sneak peek into the jailers' quarters, stating, "Jailers believe they have everything under control and must stay ahead of the game. The setup includes LEDs for monitoring the inmates, yet it remains their personal space. What Farah and Riteish will do here is still a mystery, but we aimed for a more upscale vibe." He described the design as a blend of comfort, leather, and wood, incorporating elements from the first season's set. "We’ve brought a touch of the previous season here," he noted. Interestingly, there is only one chair in the jailers’ area. Who will claim the throne, Farah or Riteish? Omung kept the details under wraps but hinted at contestants frequently entering and exiting the room.
He elaborated, "If someone misbehaves, they will face consequences. However, since they are celebrities, they deserve to be treated well. The area is confined but has been slightly upgraded. The exact location remains undisclosed." When discussing the concept for Season 2, Kumar emphasized, "This season is entirely distinct from the first. It is a brand new show titled Lock Upp: Sach ya Saza, premiering on Netflix."
Details About Lock Upp 2
The set features a balcony where contestants can be seen from above. Additionally, the production team has included well-built bouncers to maintain order among the inmates. "As this is a new environment, I cannot fully predict how everything will be utilized. It will depend on the creators and jailers, as well as which cell is opened first. Will they face punishment, earn money, or receive rewards? We are all discovering this together," Kumar concluded. The show is scheduled to debut on Netflix on June 27.
