Los Angeles: Hugh Jackman recently shared a humorous anecdote about a challenging experience he faced while hosting the New Year's Eve celebrations in Australia.

An old clip from ‘The Graham Norton Show’ has gone viral, featuring Jackman reminiscing about the time he found himself alone on stage as the entire production crew indulged in drinks.

He recounted, “My first hosting gig was for the Australian New Year’s Eve fireworks special. I thought, great, $3,000, I’m in! I went for it, with Kylie Minogue performing and all the excitement surrounding the fireworks display.”

Jackman continued, “They told me, ‘You have 45 minutes to commentate on the fireworks.’ I was like, ‘I don’t know anything about fireworks!’ They reassured me with four pages of notes, explaining there were 120,000 tons of fireworks and five barges. I was supposed to be fine.”

As the show progressed, he described the moment the fireworks began, saying, “The producer said, ‘And go!’ I looked over, and the entire crew was intoxicated. They were enjoying New Year’s Eve, and the guy with the notes accidentally set them on fire while lighting the display.”
