Horror Thriller '418 The Film' Receives CBFC Approval for Release

Hyderabad, September 10: The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has granted an 'A' certificate to the highly anticipated horror thriller '418 The Film', directed by Kirtan Nadagouda, paving the way for its release.
Mythri Movie Makers, the production house behind the film, announced the news on their social media, stating, "#418TheFilm will be in theaters starting September 18, 2026. The CBFC has certified the film with an A rating. We were right when we said, 'Enough of laughing at horror movies; now it’s time to be scared.'"
Initially, the film was set to premiere globally on July 31 this year, but the release was postponed. The production team expressed gratitude for the audience's patience, promising that the wait would be worthwhile. They stated, "The dreaded door will open a little later. 418 The Film will not be releasing on July 31st. A new release date will be announced soon. Thank you for your patience and love. We promise to give all your love back in the form of fear. It will be worth the wait. Enough of laughing at horror movies. Now, it's time to be scared. #MythriBringsHorror."
Now confirmed, the film will officially release on September 18 this year.
For those unfamiliar, '418 The Film' stars Surya Raj, Charan Lakkaraju, and Preethi Pagadal in leading roles.
Produced by the renowned filmmaker Prashanth Neel, the film is both written and directed by Kirtan Nadagouda, with Naveen Yerneni and Yalamanchili Ravi Shankar financing the project under the Mythri Movie Makers banner.
Insiders suggest that '418' aims to provide a gripping horror experience, focusing on fear, suspense, and psychological tension rather than humor. The film is being marketed as a spine-tingling thriller designed to keep viewers on the edge of their seats throughout.
The technical team behind the film is noteworthy, with Dinesh Divakar handling cinematography, Venky GG composing the music, and Ullas Hydoor serving as the production designer.
