However, more recent information has surfaced, revealing four additional actresses vying for the part, with Arjona being a common name among them. Who Will Take on the Role of Maxima?
According to a report from The Hollywood Reporter, Adria Arjona, Eva De Dominici, Sydney Chandler, and Grace Van Patten are all contenders for the role of Maxima. These actresses reportedly participated in screen tests in Atlanta ahead of the filming of the DC Studios sequel. Earlier, Deadline had also mentioned Arjona, along with Marisa Abela and Ella Purnell, as potential candidates for the role.
However, writer-director James Gunn took to social media to clarify the situation, stating that he knows Arjona but has never met Abela or Purnell. Arjona seems to be a frontrunner, especially since she has previously worked with Gunn on Belko Experiment. Fans have even speculated about her as a potential Wonder Woman. The competition remains fierce with De Dominici from The Cleaning Lady, Chandler from Alien: Earth, and Van Patten from Tell Me Lies still in the mix.

In this sequel, Lex Luthor (Nicholas Hoult) teams up with Superman (Corenswet) to battle Brainiac (Lars Eidinger).
