O'Connor revealed that Spielberg reached out to him in Spring 2024 regarding Disclosure Day. He recalled, “I was finishing up press for Challengers when my agent called and asked: ‘What are you doing tomorrow? Might you be available for a meeting?’ I initially said, ‘Absolutely not, I need a break.’ But when they mentioned, ‘It's Steven Spielberg,’ I quickly changed my mind and said, ‘Yep, I'm available.’”

O'Connor elaborated, “At the time, Steven and David Koepp were still fine-tuning the script, but what he shared was fascinating. This concept immediately piqued my interest, and I was eager to see what they were developing.”
