Exciting Developments in The Batman: Part II

The Batman: Part II, starring Robert Pattinson, is gearing up to introduce a host of new characters in its upcoming sequel. Writer-director Matt Reeves has confirmed the addition of actors including Sebastian Stan, Brian Tyree Henry, Scarlett Johansson, Charles Dance, and Sebastian Koch to the cast. While Reeves shared their casting via GIFs on X, he has yet to reveal the specific roles each actor will play. Initially, it was thought that Stan would portray Harvey Dent, but recent reports suggest that another actor will take on that character, leaving fans curious about Stan's actual role in the DC Universe.

Unveiling Sebastian Stan's Character in The Batman: Part II

According to independent journalist Jeff Sneider, Stan will not be playing Harvey Dent; that honor goes to Brian Tyree Henry. Sneider's newsletter indicates that Stan will embody the infamous villain Victor Zsasz, notorious for his chilling count of victims. Reeves hinted in September 2025 that this sequel's antagonist has not been featured in prior adaptations.

Previously, Aaron Eckhart portrayed Dent, also known as Two-Face, in Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight trilogy. There has been speculation that Stan's Marvel co-star Scarlett Johansson might take on the role of Dent's wife, Gilda, while Charles Dance is rumored to play Dent's father. However, these rumors are now in question, as reports suggest the film will delve into the storyline of the Court of Owls, a clandestine group of Gotham's elite who have shaped the city for generations.
At the Cannes Film Festival last month, Stan expressed to Deadline his enthusiasm and apprehension about taking on "many roles" in the Batman sequel, aiming to keep himself surprised throughout the process.
