About Project Hail Mary

Project Hail Mary is adapted from Andy Weir's 2021 science fiction novel, which follows Dr. Ryland Grace, portrayed by Gosling, a school teacher who finds himself stranded in a spacecraft. Upon awakening, he encounters an alien named Rocky, who becomes an unexpected ally. As Ryland regains his strength, he learns that his mission is to prevent a mysterious object from blocking the Sun. Gosling mentioned that filming certain scenes was particularly challenging, especially when his co-star was not physically present. He shared that his daughters, Esmeralda Amada and Amada Lee, assisted him by voicing the alien character through an earpiece. "There are moments where I'm laughing or charmed, and it's actually my kids talking to me," Gosling stated.

He also noted that his daughters were actively involved in the project, watching various cuts of the film and providing feedback, which played a significant role in his decision to take on the film. In addition to Gosling, the cast includes Sandra Huller, Milana Vayntrub, Ken Leung, Liz Kingsman, and James Ortiz. The film is set to premiere in India on March 26.
