This superhero film, based on the iconic DC character, was expected to perform well due to its franchise backing and Alcock's star power. However, initial reports indicate a sluggish start in the Indian market. Directed by Craig Gillespie, the film follows Kara Zor-El, also known as Supergirl, on her quest for vengeance across the galaxy. The cast features Matthias Schoenaerts, Eve Ridley, David Krumholtz, Emily Beecham, David Corenswet, and Jason Momoa, with production led by Peter Safran and James Gunn from DC Studios.

According to trade tracker Sacnilk, Supergirl earned an estimated net of Rs 1.14 crore on its third day, bringing its total net collection to approximately Rs 3.94 crore. The film is currently being screened in 2,387 locations across the country, with final figures still pending. The opening weekend was decent, with the film earning around Rs 1.40 crore on its first day, followed by similar earnings on the second day, resulting in a two-day total of Rs 2.80 crore. Despite generating excitement for its action-packed sequences and engaging storyline, audience turnout has been disappointing. Day 2 saw an overall occupancy of 11.5 percent from 2,556 shows, slightly down from the opening day's 11.7 percent from nearly 3,000 shows.


Language-wise Performance

The film was released in several languages, including English, Hindi, and Tamil, with the English version performing the best. It garnered nearly Rs 1.05 crore with a 14 percent occupancy from 1,415 shows. The Hindi version, however, earned only around Rs 26 lakh with a lower occupancy of 6 percent across 899 shows. The Tamil version fared slightly better, collecting about Rs 9 lakh from 242 shows and achieving an occupancy rate of nearly 17 percent, surpassing the Hindi version. Evening shows received the most favorable response, with an occupancy of close to 19.11 percent, while morning shows lagged at around 9.89 percent.
