During an appearance on The Kelly Clarkson Show to promote the special The Punisher: One Last Kill, Bernthal opened up about his friendship with Holland, calling him the best in the business. He reminisced about knowing Holland since he was 17, noting his incredible determination and kindness. Bernthal expressed pride in Holland's journey to stardom and his ability to juggle personal and professional commitments. He also shared his happiness for Holland's relationship with Zendaya, stating, "I love the other half of him. I love that he’s in love," and confidently remarked that Holland is destined to be a great father.

The Punisher: One Last Kill is scheduled to premiere on May 12 on Disney+ and May 13 on JioHotstar, where Bernthal will reprise his role as Frank Castle. He will also return as The Punisher in Brand New Day this summer. Recently, he participated in a special prequel episode of The Bear titled Gary, co-written with Ebon Moss-Bachrach, where their characters embark on a road trip from Chicago to Gary, Indiana. The Bear is set to conclude in June 2026 with its fifth season, and Bernthal is expected to appear in the final episode. Currently, he and Moss-Bachrach are making their Broadway debuts in the stage adaptation of Dog Day Afternoon. Both The Odyssey and Spider-Man: Brand New Day are set for release in July.
