In a recent discussion with Deadline, Johnson openly shared his feelings regarding the lack of an Oscar nomination. He admitted that the snub was disheartening, saying, “It would have been incredible to get nominated for an Oscar. I quickly understood that it's a rare achievement to even be in this conversation. It's thrilling! It would have been fantastic. I wish it had happened. But it didn't.” His comments reflect a genuine understanding of the importance of such accolades in the film industry.

Johnson stressed that he has always valued the significance of an Oscar nomination, stating, “I never thought, Oh, that doesn’t matter. I’ve always believed it does.
