At the New York premiere of his latest film, 'The Magic Faraway Tree,' Garfield spoke about the biopic, praising Amazon MGM Studios for their supportive involvement in the film's creation. He noted, "Certain projects resonate better with specific studios, and they have been incredibly encouraging throughout our process. I’ve built a wonderful rapport with them, and I’m thankful they helped us find the right home for this film," he shared with Variety.
Neon Films has acquired the rights to 'Artificial' for $40 million after Amazon MGM Studios determined that the film would thrive better under a different banner. Garfield expressed his excitement about collaborating with Neon, stating, "I’m thrilled to partner with them on this project," during an interview with The Hollywood Reporter. His remarks highlight his confidence in the studio's creative vision and its compatibility with the film's objectives.
When questioned about whether he had contacted Sam Altman regarding the biopic, Garfield admitted he does not possess the tech entrepreneur's contact details. "I wouldn’t know how to reach him. I don’t have his number or email. However, I believe he could get in touch with me if he wishes to," he expressed, showing interest in discussing the film with Altman.
