Hera Pheri 3 Faces Turmoil as Paresh Rawal Exits, Akshay Kumar Considers Legal Action

The beloved Heri Pheri franchise is experiencing a significant shift following Paresh Rawal's unexpected decision to leave the third installment. Fans were thrilled at the prospect of the original trio—Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal, and Suniel Shetty—returning to the screen, with reports indicating that filming had already commenced. However, with Paresh's sudden departure, director Priyadarshan disclosed that the three actors had previously filmed a scene and a teaser together.

In an interview with a media outlet, Priyadarshan stated, "All contracts were finalized. Just ten days ago, Suniel, Akshay, and Paresh filmed a scene along with the IPL teaser. It was only after we collectively agreed to proceed with Hera Pheri 3 that Akshay acquired the rights to the franchise."

He further mentioned, "Akshay was visibly upset when he asked me, ‘Priyan, why is Paresh doing this to us?’ It’s unfair for Akshay to face financial repercussions due to Paresh's impulsive decision. I understand he may need to take necessary legal steps."

Reports indicate that Akshay Kumar is contemplating legal action against Paresh Rawal for the financial impact of his abrupt exit from Hera Pheri 3. Sources suggest that Akshay's production company, Cape Of Good Films, has issued a legal notice to Rawal, demanding 25 crores in damages for his unprofessional behavior after signing a contract and starting production. Notably, Akshay is the producer of Hera Pheri 3 and has legally secured the rights from producer Feroz Nadiadwala.

A source cited by another media outlet remarked, "Paresh has shown a blatant disregard for professional ethics and commercial integrity. If he wished to withdraw from the film, he should have communicated that before signing the contract and accepting the signing fee, which led to significant expenses for the producer."

The source added, "It’s crucial for Bollywood actors to understand that, similar to Hollywood, producers will no longer tolerate actors who come and go from projects at their convenience."
