Henry Cavill and Kevin Hart Team Up for a Hilarious Netflix Action Comedy!
Exciting New Project for Cavill and Hart
Los Angeles: Hollywood icon Henry Cavill is set to star alongside comedian Kevin Hart in an upcoming action-comedy film for Netflix, which remains untitled at this time.
This new venture is inspired by a short story penned by Sean Lewis, showcasing the two actors as competing spies whose lives intertwine after their spouses meet during a Lamaze class, as reported by a leading media outlet.
The storyline reveals that the duo must "reluctantly become confidantes and partners on their journey to fatherhood," as their hidden identities lead them into both comedic and perilous situations.
The film is directed by McG, whose full name is Joseph McGinty Nichol, and features a screenplay crafted by Adam and Aaron Nee along with Jonathan Tropper.
McG is recognized for his work on films like Charlie's Angels, Terminator Salvation, and This Means War.
Production is being handled by Shawn Levy's 21 Laps and Ryan Reynolds' Maximum Effort, with Hart also producing through his Hartbeat banner, alongside Luke Kelly-Clyne and Bryan Smiley.
Levy and Dan Levine will produce for 21 Laps, while Reynolds, George Dewey, and Patrick Gooing will oversee production for Maximum Effort.
Cavill is also set to appear in the upcoming Highlander reboot, directed by Chad Stahelski, known for John Wick, and in Voltron, directed by Rawson Marshall Thurber.
Previously, the British actor has collaborated with Netflix in the fantasy series The Witcher and the Enola Holmes films alongside Millie Bobby Brown.
Kevin Hart has a rich history with Netflix, featuring in films like Lift, Me Time, The Man From Toronto, and Fatherhood.
His next Netflix comedy, 72 Hours, is scheduled to premiere on July 24.
