While conversing with Dheeraj Dhoopar, known for his role in Kundali Bhagya, Harshad recounted an incident from his past where he felt compelled to flee upon encountering a gay individual. He humorously noted that he once participated in a ramp walk but did not receive payment for it, as he had to return home to collect his dues.


Recalling his reaction to meeting a gay person, Harshad admitted, "Pehle na main bhaag jaata tha seedha. Samajh nahi aata tha. Uss insaan ko main kuch din pehle mila tha. Darr bahut lagta tha, uss time pe bhaag gaya tha bahana bana ke ki shoot hai. Usko pata tha ki shoot cancel hai phir bhi main bhaag gaya tha." He later apologized to the individual, acknowledging his inability to handle the situation at the time. Harshad described himself as non-confrontational, humorously labeling himself a 'phattu insaan'. He confessed, "Maybe it takes me longer but mujhe darr lagta tha." In contrast, Dheeraj expressed his comfort around gay individuals, stating that he finds them to be more compassionate and sensitive, adding, "They are wonderful."
