Director H Vinoth has finally spoken out regarding the prolonged delay of the film Jana Nayagan, which features Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and actor Vijay. This eagerly awaited movie, also starring Mamitha Baiju, Bobby Deol, and Pooja Hegde, has been awaiting clearance from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) for several months. During a promotional event for Pandiraj's Parimala & Co, Vinoth was questioned about the film's status. He admitted that he lacks the “courage” to disclose the reasons behind the delay.

While participating in a promotional discussion alongside fellow filmmakers Pa Ranjith, Sandy Master, and Santhosh on SS Music, Vinoth provided a vague answer when asked about Jana Nayagan's release. The video of this interaction has been circulating on social media. As the host sought more details, Vinoth explained that the timeline for the film's release is beyond his control. He expressed that even if he wanted to share the truth, it might be too difficult for others to accept. "I don’t even have the courage to tell you the truth. Even if I had the courage, you wouldn’t have the courage to share it,” he remarked.
These comments come as the film remains in certification limbo for months. The controversy surrounding the film arose after it was sent to a revising committee due to complaints about sensitive portrayals of the army and scenes that could potentially offend religious sentiments. Earlier, ticketing platforms hinted at a possible release in June, coinciding with Vijay’s birthday on June 22, but no official confirmation has been made.
Expected Release Date for Jana Nayagan
Producer Venkat K Narayana of KVN Productions recently spoke to the media after being seen at a temple. He confirmed that Jana Nayagan has not yet received certification but expressed hope that it would happen soon. He stated that once the certification is obtained, Vijay's film will be ready for a theatrical release. Despite the ongoing uncertainty, fans eagerly await an official announcement regarding this highly anticipated Tamil cinema release.
