Gwyneth Paltrow's Awkward Premiere Moment with Son: How Did He React to Her Steamy Scenes?
An Uncomfortable Premiere Experience
Los Angeles: Actress Gwyneth Paltrow recently shared a rather awkward experience with her son Moses during the premiere of her latest film, Marty Supreme, where she has some risqué scenes.
The 53-year-old star, who stars alongside Timothee Chalamet, 29, brought her 19-year-old son to the Los Angeles screening earlier this month, as reported by a media outlet.
However, Moses found it difficult to watch his mother in intimate scenes. When Gwyneth appeared on Late Night With Seth Meyers, she revealed that her son did not handle the film's steamy moments well, stating, "Not great."
She humorously demonstrated how Moses reacted by crouching down and covering his eyes, saying, "He was like this the entire time. He’s not into that."
Gwyneth, who shares two children, Moses and daughter Apple, 21, with ex-husband Chris Martin, also recounted a similar embarrassing moment from her past. She recalled taking her grandfather to see her film Shakespeare In Love, which included a topless scene.
She shared, "I was so scared because I was taking my grandfather to see the premiere, and I had to prep him for the topless scene, saying, 'It’s part of the story because they think I’m a boy.' He just replied, 'Ah, I’ve seen it before. Two eggs, sunny side up.' I wished I had something clever to say to my son, but nothing came to mind."
Gwyneth also expressed her discomfort filming intimate scenes with Timothee, describing it as strange. On The Drew Barrymore Show, she explained, "It’s like you’re making out with someone you don’t know. There’s no romance; it’s very mechanical."
Drew concurred, likening it to being intimate with a colleague, to which Gwyneth humorously added, "It’s like choreography but involving tongues."
Despite the awkwardness, Gwyneth praised Timothee, calling him a "wonderful young man" and expressing her enjoyment of working with him, stating, "He’s very polite, talented, and just so nice to be around. I’m really having a good time with him."
