The film also boasts an impressive lineup of new voice talents, including Emma Myers, Walker Scobell, Tim Robinson, Psalm West, James Austin Johnson, and Anthony Padilla. Additionally, Keke Palmer, Lily James, Sam Richardson, Maitreyi Ramakrishnan, Nikki Glaser, Marcello Hernandez, Anna Cathcart, and internet sensation MrBeast will lend their voices to the project, although details about their characters remain undisclosed.
A New Chapter for Bird Island
Since its inception in 2016, the franchise has followed Red's journey from being an outcast to becoming a revered leader. The first film showcased his role as Bird Island's guardian after he thwarted King Leonard's egg-stealing schemes with his green pig allies. The sequel in 2019 broadened the narrative by introducing a surprising partnership between the birds and pigs to combat a mutual foe, Zeta, on Eagle Island. This third film seems to continue exploring themes of collaboration and community while delving into the personal dynamics of Red's family life.
In addition to its engaging storyline, the film is also generating buzz with its musical elements. BLACKPINK’s Jisoo is confirmed to contribute a new song to the movie's soundtrack. As the production prepares for its theatrical release, the trailer offers the first glimpse of the animation style and tone that audiences can expect when the film premieres on December 23, 2026.
